Louisiana girl, 8, dies from rare ‘brain-eating’ amoeba found in warm freshwater

 For Lillian Smart, a little girl remembered for her bright smile and joyful spirit, a simple day in the water ended in an unimaginable tragedy. The 8-year-old Louisiana girl died over the weekend after developing an extremely rare infection caused by Naegleria fowleri, commonly known as the “brain-eating amoeba.” Health officials believe Lillian was likely exposed while swimming in Lake Claiborne in north Louisiana. Her parents, Daniel and Rebecca Smart, shared the heartbreaking news in a Facebook post Sunday. “Last night Lillian ran from our arms to the arms of Jesus,” they wrote. “The injuries to her brain were too severe for her little body to recover from. ตอนเด็กๆ คุณแม่บังคับให้ต้องเรียนภาษาไทยให้อ่านออกเขียนได้ ให้รู้จักวัฒนธรรมและประเพณีไทย รำไทย เล่นดนตรีไทย ให้บวชชีพราหมณ์ทุกซัมเมอร์ เพื่อให้รู้เรื่องของธรรมะ และเรียนรู้พุทธศาสนา ตอนเด็กๆเราก็ไม่เข้าใจ ว่าทำไมเราถึงต้องเรียนมากกว่าคนอื่น ทำกิจกรรมเสริมมากกว่าคนอื่น ไม่ได้ออกไปวิ่งเล่นเหมือนเด็กคนอื่น



แต่ในตอนนี้เข้าใจในความหวังดีของคุณแม่ ที่หล่อหลอมทุกอย่างเหล่านี้มาเป็นเราในวันนี้ คุณสมบัติและมารยาทบางอย่างที่เงินก็ซื้อไม่ได้ ลูกเข้าใจแล้วค่ะ บุญคุณครั้งนี้ชาตินี้ลูกก็ตอบแทนไม่หมดค่ะ แต่ลูกจะจำคำสอนของคุณแม่ทุกคำและใช้ชีวิตที่เหลือให้คุณแม่ภูมิใจต่อไปค่ะ คุณแม่ไม่ต้องเป็นห่วงลูกๆ ไม่ต้องเป็นห่วงคุณพ่อ และหลานๆนะคะ พวกเราดูแลกันได้ค่ะ
