ล่าสุด นายสุเมธ ดวงดารา น้องชายคนเล็กต่างแม่ของ เมตตา รุ่งรัตน์ ได้ให้ส้มภาษณ์ถึงพี่สาวว่าเมื่อตอนประมาณบ่าย 4 โมงกว่าพี่น้อยแม่บ้าน คนดูแลเมตตามา 10 กว่าปี โทรไปมาหาว่าเมตตาฆ่าตัวตาย โดยการยิงปืน ตนตกใจมาก รีบโทรบอกแฟนและมาบ้านพี่สาว

นอกจากนี้ยังเผยว่า พี่สาวมีโรครุมเร้าหลายโรค นิสัยจริงๆเป็นคนสนุกสนาน เจอครั้งสุดท้ายยังนั่งคุยสนุกสนานกันอยู่เลยตอนนี้ พี่สาวเริ่มเป็นอัลไซเมอร์ เพราะว่าหลานที่รักมากที่สุดชื่อเอ๋ ซึ่งเสียชีวิตด้วยโรคมะเร็ง ตนก็บอกพี่สาวว่าเอ๋เสียแล้วนะ พี่สาวก็ยังถามว่าเอ๋ไหน ซึ่งเอ๋เป็นหลานที่รักมากเลี้ยงมาตั้งแต่เด็กๆ ถ้ามีสมบัติอะไรก็จะยกให้หลานคนนี้



ส่วนตอนเช้าที่ไปตรวจ ไปหาหมอตนไม่แน่ใจว่าหมอไปตรวจเจอโรคอะไรเพิ่มอีก 2 โรคหรือเปล่า แล้วอาจจะเครียด ก็มองว่ามันอาจจะเป็นชนวนที่ทำให้จบชีวิตครั้งนี้ เพราะว่าเมตตาเคยคุยกับคนทำความสะอาดอีกคนนึง ซึ่งไม่ใช่พี่น้อยเป็นผู้หญิง เจอหน้าตนก็บอกว่าเมตตาเคยบ่นประจำว่า 'ถ้ากูทนไม่ไหว กูก็จะฆ่าตัวตาย'ส่วนเรื่องปืนตนไม่รู้ เพราะไม่เคยเห็นปืนที่พี่สาวเก็บไว้มาก่อน
