Nicole Kidman Arrives at the 78th Emmy Awards in a White Gown That Has Netizens Divided — Photos

Close-up photos offered only a glimpse of the "Babygirl" star's gown. It was the wider shots, however, that revealed the look viewers would soon debate. Nicole Kidman attended the 78th Emmy Awards at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on September 14, 2026, wearing a fitted white off-the-shoulder gown. The first images highlighted Kidman's styling rather than the full dress. She wore her blond hair in a loose updo, with long bangs and strands framing her face. Soft pink lipstick, defined eye makeup, and sparkling earrings completed the look. White feathered detailing surrounded her shoulders, but the tighter framing kept most of the gown out of view. Kidman gave photographers another view as she turned on the carpet. From behind, the feathered trim could be seen extending across her shoulders above the fitted white fabric. She completed the look with a bracelet and rings. But the biggest visual reveal came when photographers captured her from head to toe. The Full L...

Meghan Markle’s first video post from the UK has sparked intense debate

Meghan Markle’s latest Instagram post was supposed to offer followers a glimpse into a family day in the British countryside, instead, the reel featuring Prince Harry, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet quickly became another source of debate

Keep reading to know more.

The post made by Meghan Markle arrived shortly after the Sussexes were mocked in a new SNL UK sketch, giving critics even more material to discuss.

On September 13, Markle shared a series of clips from the family’s time in the British countryside.

In one, Lilibet rode a bicycle along a path while Archie ran beside her.

Another showed one of the children warming their feet near a fire, while Harry appeared in a small boat with the kids as they went fishing on a lake.

Markle added a Union Jack emoji and a heart to the video, seemingly highlighting the family’s time back in Harry’s home country.

The post came shortly after Meghan was reportedly spotted in the Cotswolds, where she met another mother for tea at Soho Farmhouse. One source described her as appearing to be “starting to socialize and going out and about.

That sighting had already fueled speculation that the Sussexes could be considering a home in the area. But the Instagram reel shifted attention back to the children—and particularly the fact that viewers mostly saw them from behind.

Some Fans Mocked The Couple For Keeping The Children’s Faces Hidden

Another person joked, “Amazing! More shots of the backs of their children’s head!”

Someone else added, “All with a convenient camera crew trailing behind. Just a PR op.”

Of course, Harry and Meghan have repeatedly emphasized their desire to protect their children’s privacy, making the choice to share carefully framed family footage a particularly easy target for critics.

However, not everyone saw anything wrong with the post.

One person wrote, “The comments under this post- triggered much. Please stop with the ‘thought they wanted privacy’ – yes PRIVACY-It means they don’t want their kids faces plastered everywhere, it means only sharing what they want to & not telling the press everything about their lives!”

The Family Video Came Right After SNL UK Took Aim At Harry And Meghan

The timing of Markle’s post was also interesting because it came shortly after SNL UK mocked the Sussexes during its season 2 premiere. In the sketch, actors portrayed Harry and Meghan visiting King Charles and Queen Camilla at Balmoral Castle.

Harry’s fictional character entered the castle with, “Daddy, I’m home.”

Charles then asked whether his son had already spent all of his Netflix money.

“It was $60 million. How long was it meant to last?” the fictional Harry replied.

The sketch also poked fun at Meghan’s lifestyle projects, with her character presenting Camilla with an ice tray and joking about her cooking skills.

Harry then added, “It’s true, she hires the best cooks.”

The SNL UK sketch went beyond jokes about money and Meghan’s lifestyle brand.

One particularly controversial line referenced the Sussexes’ 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, during which Meghan said there had been conversations within the royal family about how dark Archie’s skin might be before his birth.

Meghan did not publicly identify the person involved.

Harry also declined to name them, saying he would “never” share who had been involved in the conversation.

The remarks sparked a major controversy at the time.

Prince William later rejected the suggestion that the royal family was racist, while Queen Elizabeth II issued a more cautious response, saying the issues raised were concerning and adding that “recollections may vary.”

The old controversy resurfaced in the comedy sketch, with one viewer mocking the casting choice involving a Black actress portraying Meghan.

Harry And Meghan Recently Returned To The UK With Their Children

The Instagram update also comes during a significant period for the Sussexes.

Harry and Meghan stepped down as working members of the royal family in 2020 and subsequently moved to California.

They reportedly returned to England on August 26 with Archie and Lilibet, bringing the children to Harry’s home country for an extended stay.

According to reports, being closer to King Charles was one factor behind the move, while the couple also wanted Archie and Lilibet to develop stronger relationships with Harry’s side of the family.

The family has also spent time in the Cotswolds, an area where Harry reportedly has childhood connections.

Royal commentator Tom Sykes previously suggested that Harry was considering buying a property there. For now, the Sussexes are reportedly staying in a non-royal residence while they consider their longer-term options.

King Charles Has Made One Thing Clear: Harry And Meghan Are Still Private Citizens

Their return to Britain does not mean the Sussexes are returning as working royals.

A letter sent on the King’s behalf reportedly confirmed that Harry and Meghan would remain private citizens and would not resume official royal duties.

Their His and Her Royal Highness styles also remain in abeyance, while the possibility of a “half-in, half-out” arrangement was ruled out.

A spokesperson for the couple said they were “a little surprised” that they had not been informed about the letter before it became public.

Meanwhile, Archie and Lilibet have reportedly been enrolled at a private prep school costing around $35,000 a year.

So while Meghan’s latest reel may have been intended as nothing more than a family update, it has once again become a magnet for royal commentary.

Common back-pain drug may be linked to higher dementia risk, large study finds

A pain medication that millions of Americans rely on for chronic back pain may come with a hidden risk: a significantly higher chance of developing dementia or other cognitive problems, according to a major new study. Compared 26,000 adults Researchers from Case Western Reserve University and several partner institutions analyzed medical records from 68 health systems across the U.S., comparing 26,414 adults prescribed gabapentin for persistent low-back pain with a matched group who had similar pain — but didn’t take the drug. Their finding was sobering: Adults who received six or more gabapentin prescriptions were 29% more likely to be diagnosed with dementia and 85% more likely to develop mild cognitive impairment (MCI) within 10 years. Horrible childhood event shaped this Hollywood star’s journey

For years, this actress has delivered award-winning performances on screen, earning recognition and icon status in Hollywood. Yet her early life was anything but glamorous. Her biological father abandoned her before she was even born, and at 15, she was raped in her own home by a man who claimed he had paid her mother $500. Kidnapped by her stepfather Born in 1962 in Roswell, New Mexico, this Hollywood icon was the child of a brief union between her teen mother, Virginia, and an Air Force airman, Charles Harmon Sr. Her father deserted her then-18-year-old mother after a two-month marriage, long before she was born. Instead, when the actress was just three months old, her mother married a newspaper advertising salesman. Because her stepfather often switched jobs, the family relocated frequently. ”I was desperate for a sense of belonging so I adopted different characters wherever I went,” she once reflected. Her early years were marked by constant moves, fueled by her parents’ alco...
