Joan Collins makes rare red carpet appearance at 92 – everyone’s saying the same thing

Actress Joan Collins turned a lot of heads on the red carpet when she made an appearance at Cannes. It seems a lot of people had similar thoughts.

Keep reading to learn more.

Joan Collins just reminded everyone that glamour doesn’t expire with age. The 92-year-old actress turned heads the moment she arrived on the Cannes red carpet on May 12, with everyone who saw her completely stunned by how timeless she looked.

Joan Collins who is best known for her role as Alexis Colby on Dynasty attended the opening ceremony of the 79th annual Cannes Film Festival in a dramatic white Stéphane Rolland Haute Couture gown. She kept the styling classic with black opera gloves and a diamond necklace.

But while people were busy talking about her appearance, Joan has been open about the routines she says actually help her feel good as she’s gotten older.

“I highly recommend working out with a physiotherapist for older men and women who want to stay fit. Half an hour a day is mostly what I do, and I’ve found that it gives me energy,” she told My Weekly.

Joan explained that her fitness routine has changed over the years, especially after suffering from a trapped nerve that left her barely functioning for nearly two months. Physiotherapy helped her recover, and now she focuses on consistent movement instead of intense workouts.

She’s also said she believes in doing things “little and often,” regularly swims, and once revealed during an appearance on BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hour, “I do the splits very easily.”

Before adapting her routine, Joan said she used to stay active in a very different way. “From the time I was 16, I went to discotheques, dance halls, and nightclubs and danced the night away for hours and hours,” she told Platinum magazine.

Alongside exercise, Joan has spoken openly about the habits she swears by when it comes to health, skincare, and aging naturally. She’s repeatedly said discipline matters more than expensive treatments or cosmetic procedures.

“I eat an avocado every day,” she told The Express, adding that she also takes supplements including Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Omega oils.

At the same time, she’s never believed in strict dieting. “I don’t stuff myself with food. I only eat half of what’s on my plate, and I won’t deprive myself. I’ll drink wine, have dessert, eat toast and have coffee with sugar,” Joan previously said.

She has also shut down years of speculation surrounding cosmetic work. Writing for The Telegraph, Joan said, “A lot of people think I’ve had a ton of work done. To set the record straight: I have not.”

She later added, “I haven’t had Botox, I haven’t had any tweakments, I haven’t had fat injections.” Instead, Joan credits old-school skincare habits she learned from her mother. She has said she never goes to bed without removing her makeup and applying night cream, and she’s long been strict about sun protection.

“I have always worn sun protection and have kept my face away from harmful rays since I was 20,” she once explained.

Ahead of major events, she also follows a beauty trick she learned from Marilyn Monroe’s makeup artist.

“Before all big events and post-flights, I get a bowl of ice and cotton pads,” she shared. “It reduces puffiness and refreshes the eyes.”

As photos from Cannes spread online, social media quickly filled with praise for Joan’s appearance and presence.

One person wrote, “Wow…. that’s what is called aging with beauty….you can actually recognize her….” another added, “Pure old school Hollywood class.”

“Joan is stunning at 92 but the fact she is still razor sharp, doing press and still acting is a marvel” another person added.

“she looks AMAZING best dressed for sure!!! Go Joan!” another fan wrote.

Everyone seemed to agree that the actress was still her elegant and beautiful self even at 92 years old.

Common back-pain drug may be linked to higher dementia risk, large study finds

A pain medication that millions of Americans rely on for chronic back pain may come with a hidden risk: a significantly higher chance of developing dementia or other cognitive problems, according to a major new study. Compared 26,000 adults Researchers from Case Western Reserve University and several partner institutions analyzed medical records from 68 health systems across the U.S., comparing 26,414 adults prescribed gabapentin for persistent low-back pain with a matched group who had similar pain — but didn’t take the drug. Their finding was sobering: Adults who received six or more gabapentin prescriptions were 29% more likely to be diagnosed with dementia and 85% more likely to develop mild cognitive impairment (MCI) within 10 years. The risk wasn’t limited to older adults. In fact, it was younger Americans who saw the most dramatic increases. Younger adults saw shocking risk increases For people normally considered decades away from dementia: Ages 35–49 taking gabapentin ha...

Queen Camilla sends clear message to Trump with ‘key’ clothing detail

King Charles III and Queen Camilla arrived in the United States on Monday for a four-day state visit, stepping into a moment where relations between the U.S. and the U.K. have grown noticeably strained. In the past, Donald Trump has openly expressed admiration for the British Royal  Family. During a visit to the U.K. in September alongside Melania Trump, he spoke warmly about the long-standing alliance between the two nations.Family “The word ‘special’ does not begin to do it justice,” Trump said at the time. “We’re like two notes in one chord, or two verses of the same poem – each beautiful on its own, but really meant to be played together.” Since then, however, the tone has shifted. Tensions have escalated, particularly in relation to disagreements over international policy, including the conflict involving Iran. Trump has publicly criticized Keir Starmer, calling him a “loser” for refusing to support U.S. military action and remarking that he was “no Churchill.” He also ...
