Brandi Passante is breaking her silence following the sudden death of her Storage Wars co-star, Darrell Sheets.
Police in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, responded to a call of a “deceased individual” at around 2 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, according to Tyla. The person was pronounced dead at the scene and later identified as Darrell Sheets, known to fans as “The Gambler.”
He was 67 years old. His death has been described as an apparent suicide.
In a statement shared with PEOPLE on behalf of his loved ones, A&E said:
“We are saddened by the passing of a beloved member of our Storage Wars family, Darrell ‘The Gambler’ Sheets. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
“Never suffer in silence”
Following the news, Passante took to social media to share an emotional message – and a reminder for anyone who may be struggling
“I would like to say to everyone, if you are struggling, if you feel hopeless or like no one cares,” she wrote. “I assure you they do!! You are not alone. Please reach out for help.”
She continued: “You are not taking your pain away, you are transferring it to someone else. The grief from suicide is endless.”
Passante also pointed people toward available support, adding: “There is always help… You can dial 988 on your phone to connect with a counsellor and resources. Never suffer in silence!”
Alongside her message, she shared several photos of herself with Sheets. In one, the two pose side-by-side as he smiles and points toward her.
