Jim Carrey’s Ex Jenny McCarthy breaks silence on his new look

Jim Carrey appeared at a major public event earlier this year, something he rarely does anymore. His appearance, however, had many people talking about how something did not seem right.

Now, his ex, Jenny McCarthy, is breaking her silence. Keep reading to learn more.

Jim Carrey faced significant online scrutiny after he made a public appearance on February 26, 2026, at the 51st César Awards in Paris. Now his ex-girlfriend Jenny McCarty is addressing the issue head on.

Actress Jenny McCarthy reportedly dated Jim Carrey from 2005 to 2010. She shared her reactio to the rumors that Carrey had not been present at the award ceremony but had been replaced by a ‘clone.’

“It was definitely Jim Carrey,” the actress set the record straight.

She did not want to focus on the rumors but instead wanted to comment on Carrey himself who she thought, “looked very happy at that award show. And I was happy for him. That’s the first thing I noticed.”

She added another take away from the situation, saying, “You know, that’s the part that, sadly, people miss.”

Her husband, Donnie Wahlberg who was with her at the event added in agreement to his wife, “We’re so obsessed with how he looks that we didn’t consider how happy he looked.”

The rumor which began gaining steam online said that Jim Carrey’s appearance at the César Awards in Paris denoted something more sinister; that he had been replaced. He was being honored at the ceremony for his contributions to film.

At the ceremony, the actor delivered a large part of his acceptance speech in French, something he had reportedly prepared months in advance to do. Attending the event with him were his partner, his daughter with his grandson, as well as some other close friends of the actor.

People kept commenting that he looked “unrecognizable,” as his face looked fuller, his skin also seemed different as well as his overall persona which conviced people he had plastic surgery or something similar done.

“what happened to his face???” one person wrote on X. “What have you freaks done with Jim Carey? That is not him.” another asked. While one person commented, “It looks like the Madam Tussauds wax version.”

While others did not understand the issue, with one person writing, “He looks exactly how’s I’d expect him to look 20 years after last seeing him, he’s just had a bit of Botox and cheek fillers. Not that shocking and he looks ok to me. We all fucking age.”

Things gained further steam when drag performer and makeup artist known for similar stunts in the past, Alexis Stone claimed on Instagram that they were behind the appearance.

They posted a picture which showed a Carrey mask as well as makeup tools and a hair piece and the caption read, “Alexis Stone as Jim Carrey in Paris.”

However, people were unable to verify if Alexis Stone was joking. Others played detective and pointed out the image did not seem real and was likely AI generated in order to get in on the viral moment.

After the entire spectacle, Carrey’s management team also issued a statement to confirm it was indeed him at the event.

The statement read, “Jim Carrey attended the César Awards, where he accepted his Honorary César Award.”

César Awards general delegate Gregory Caulier also added their noise to the fray saying that the rumors were a “non-issue.”

He explained that Carrey had been invited months in advance and everything had been planned extensively. “He worked on his speech in French for months,” Caulier explained.

More people are coming out as Aegosexual – here’s what it means

As discussions around sexuality become more layered, so does the vocabulary used to describe them. One term now drawing attention is aegosexual, an “identity-less” experience that’s defined by “disconnection.” With gender and sexuality now part of everyday conversation, it’s no surprise that a growing number of new labels are finding their way into the mainstream. Aegosexuality, part of the asexual spectrum, describes people who experience arousal or desire without wanting to engage in sexual activity. At its core, the identity centers on a disconnect between experiencing attraction and wanting to personally act on it. ‘Disconnection’ The concept was first introduced in 2012 by Canadian psychologist and sexologist Anthony Bogaert, who originally referred to it as “autochorissexualism.” Bogaert described the experience as an “identity-less sexuality,” that’s “characterized by a disconnection between their sense of self and a sexual object or target.” In practical terms, someone wh...

Common back-pain drug may be linked to higher dementia risk, large study finds

A pain medication that millions of Americans rely on for chronic back pain may come with a hidden risk: a significantly higher chance of developing dementia or other cognitive problems, according to a major new study. Compared 26,000 adults Researchers from Case Western Reserve University and several partner institutions analyzed medical records from 68 health systems across the U.S., comparing 26,414 adults prescribed gabapentin for persistent low-back pain with a matched group who had similar pain — but didn’t take the drug. Their finding was sobering: Adults who received six or more gabapentin prescriptions were 29% more likely to be diagnosed with dementia and 85% more likely to develop mild cognitive impairment (MCI) within 10 years. The risk wasn’t limited to older adults. In fact, it was younger Americans who saw the most dramatic increases. Younger adults saw shocking risk increases For people normally considered decades away from dementia: Ages 35–49 taking gabapentin ha...
