Ben Affleck's 17-Year-Old Child Fin Sparks Reactions During Their Joint NYC Outing – Photos

The actor and filmmaker stepped out with his teen child in NYC, but it's one unexpected detail that has everyone talking. Fans quickly flooded social media with reactions as something about their latest outing had people doing double takes — and it wasn't just the Broadway lights.

Ben Affleck and his 17-year-old child, Fin Affleck, stepped out together in New York City, and the internet quickly zeroed in on one striking detail that sparked a wave of reactions.

A Rare NYC Outing Turns Heads

On March 25, Ben and Fin were spotted enjoying a cozy night out in New York City. The pair attended the Broadway production "Every Brilliant Thing," starring Daniel Radcliffe, making it one of several public appearances they shared during the same week.

The outing itself seemed low-key, but fans quickly picked up on the duo's undeniable resemblance — and one bold style choice. Fin, who is also the child of Jennifer Garner, debuted a fresh bowl cut hairstyle that instantly became the center of attention.

Dressed for the chilly evening in one of their outings, Fin wore a black jacket layered over jeans, paired with gray sneakers and a white scarf. The look was simple, but the haircut made it stand out.

Ben, meanwhile, kept things classic in a short black trench coat, long white button-up shirt, black denim jeans, and brown boots. The father-child duo appeared relaxed and in sync as they made their way through the city.

The NYC outing wasn't a one-off moment. The next day, on March 26, Ben and Fin were seen again leaving their hotel en route to another Broadway show. For this outing, Fin opted for a denim jacket as they stepped out of their hotel, with Ben stopping to sign autographs for some fans before getting into the car.

Their repeated appearances together offered a rare glimpse into Ben's life as a hands-on dad, something he has openly prioritized in recent years.

Social Media Reacts in Real Time

It didn't take long for fans to weigh in once photos from the outing surfaced online. As reactions poured in, many focused on just how much Fin resembles their famous father. One fan wrote, "Ben's child looks a lot like Ben." Another added, "Fin is Ben's clone." A third simply reacted, "Oh wowwww."

The comments highlighted a recurring theme: fans were struck by the strong family resemblance, especially as Fin continues to grow into their own identity.

Fin's Public Identity Journey

Fin's presence in the spotlight has evolved. In April 2024, they reportedly made their first official appearance under the name Fin during a memorial service for Jennifer's father in West Virginia.

Wearing a black pantsuit and a buzz-cut hairstyle, Fin introduced themselves by their new name before reading a Bible verse to the congregation. The moment marked a significant and personal milestone, shared in a deeply meaningful setting.

Born on January 6, 2009, Fin is now 17 years old and is the middle child of their parents. As one of Ben and Jennifer's three children, they've largely grown up away from the spotlight, with both parents working to maintain a sense of normalcy. Still, moments like these NYC outings show how public interest naturally follows the family.

Ben on Fatherhood

For Ben, time with his children has long been a central focus. In a 2021 interview, he shared, "My life has really changed a lot. Once I had kids, it became very obvious to me that the priority was time with them." He continued, explaining the challenges of balancing work and parenting after his divorce from Garner.

"So I'm trying to fit a whole week of dad into three and a half days, [it's] hard and stressful." Despite the demands, his perspective is clear. "I don't want to go travel and do something if it's not really rewarding and meaningful," he said, adding that being a parent gives him more than anything else.

A Bond That Speaks Volumes

Their recent outings in New York may have sparked online chatter, but they also offered something more meaningful — a glimpse into a close father-child relationship.

Whether walking to a show or simply stepping out together, Ben Affleck and Fin Affleck appear comfortable and connected. And while fans may continue to comment on appearances, it's that quiet, consistent bond that truly stands out.

More people are coming out as Aegosexual – here’s what it means

As discussions around sexuality become more layered, so does the vocabulary used to describe them. One term now drawing attention is aegosexual, an “identity-less” experience that’s defined by “disconnection.” With gender and sexuality now part of everyday conversation, it’s no surprise that a growing number of new labels are finding their way into the mainstream. Aegosexuality, part of the asexual spectrum, describes people who experience arousal or desire without wanting to engage in sexual activity. At its core, the identity centers on a disconnect between experiencing attraction and wanting to personally act on it. ‘Disconnection’ The concept was first introduced in 2012 by Canadian psychologist and sexologist Anthony Bogaert, who originally referred to it as “autochorissexualism.” Bogaert described the experience as an “identity-less sexuality,” that’s “characterized by a disconnection between their sense of self and a sexual object or target.” In practical terms, someone wh...

Common back-pain drug may be linked to higher dementia risk, large study finds

A pain medication that millions of Americans rely on for chronic back pain may come with a hidden risk: a significantly higher chance of developing dementia or other cognitive problems, according to a major new study. Compared 26,000 adults Researchers from Case Western Reserve University and several partner institutions analyzed medical records from 68 health systems across the U.S., comparing 26,414 adults prescribed gabapentin for persistent low-back pain with a matched group who had similar pain — but didn’t take the drug. Their finding was sobering: Adults who received six or more gabapentin prescriptions were 29% more likely to be diagnosed with dementia and 85% more likely to develop mild cognitive impairment (MCI) within 10 years. The risk wasn’t limited to older adults. In fact, it was younger Americans who saw the most dramatic increases. Younger adults saw shocking risk increases For people normally considered decades away from dementia: Ages 35–49 taking gabapentin ha...
