When the pictures were posted, people immediately began making comments. In the picture, the former First Lady of the United States is sporting minimal makeup, an open-collar t-shirt, and some jeans. Her hair is styled in really long braids, something the public has not seen her wear before.

“Self confidence exudes from this woman,” one person commented. “What in the “Benjamin Button” magic is this? She looks “mahvelous”, aging in reverse,” another admirer added.

“When you exude sensuality without resorting to emphasizing your sexuality,” another wrote. People also appreciated the beauty of the photography itself, “Annie captured your strength, your fierce resolve, that beautiful soul that taught us all to go high in the face of diversity. Annie, as always, a masterpiece. I continue to be amazed at what you see and capture through your camera’s eye,” one wrote.

People are really loving the entire look and the pictures!

Since Michelle Obama has left the White House she is still very much in the media limelight. In an interview with People, she shared the reason she has been choosing braids more often becuase of practicality. She said, “When I am out of the public eye, I am swimming, I am playing tennis, I work out, I like to be active. I don’t want to have to have a stylist with me.”

The former First Lady has build a brand out of her name with the books shes written, the podcasts and interviews she has done.

She is also mother to two daughters she shared with her husband Barack Obama. Her daughters are Malia Obama and Sasha Obama, who have both since moved out independently.

The couple are now empty nesters, with Michelle opening up about this, she said date night look different now, “We’ve been married 32, 33 (years). When we’re both happy about date night, we’re at home. We are not getting dressed. We just have a nice dinner, candles lit, music, we talk.”

She also talked about her choice of longer braids, saying, “It’s freedom. Braids allow me to get them done, and then that’s one less thing that I have to think about.”

“I understood the significance of wearing braids to our portrait unveiling. I wanted to send a message, add to the discourse of Black women in places of power, saying, ‘This, too, is an appropriate and beautiful way to wear your hair,” the former First Lady said.

The former First Lady Michelle Obama seems to be making fashion statements even when she has left the White House. What do you think about her look? Let us know in the comments section on Facebook. Share with others to see what they think.

Common back-pain drug may be linked to higher dementia risk, large study finds

A pain medication that millions of Americans rely on for chronic back pain may come with a hidden risk: a significantly higher chance of developing dementia or other cognitive problems, according to a major new study. Compared 26,000 adults Researchers from Case Western Reserve University and several partner institutions analyzed medical records from 68 health systems across the U.S., comparing 26,414 adults prescribed gabapentin for persistent low-back pain with a matched group who had similar pain — but didn’t take the drug. Their finding was sobering: Adults who received six or more gabapentin prescriptions were 29% more likely to be diagnosed with dementia and 85% more likely to develop mild cognitive impairment (MCI) within 10 years. The risk wasn’t limited to older adults. In fact, it was younger Americans who saw the most dramatic increases. Younger adults saw shocking risk increases For people normally considered decades away from dementia: Ages 35–49 taking gabapentin ha...

Aegosexuality, part of the asexual spectrum, describes people who experience arousal or desire without wanting to engage in sexual activity. At its core, the identity centers on a disconnect between experiencing attraction and wanting to personally act on it. ‘Disconnection’ The concept was first introduced in 2012 by Canadian psychologist and sexologist Anthony Bogaert, who originally referred to it as “autochorissexualism.” Bogaert described the experience as an “identity-less sexuality,” that’s “characterized by a disconnection between their sense of self and a sexual object or target.” In practical terms, someone wh...
