'Crocodile Hunter' Steve Irwin received tremendous posthumous tribute from Hollywood

Steve Irwin's family was overjoyed when he was awarded with a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame, more than a decade after he passed away. Irwin, who was also known as the Crocodile Hunter, died from a stingray injury to the heart 20 years ago. He was 44 years old and was survived by his wife and two children. The Irwin family kept his legacy alive by working tirelessly at the family-owned Australia Zoo and promoting conservationism at every opportunity. As reported by ABC News, Irwin was honored with a Walk of Fame star on April 26, 2018, and his wife, Terri Irwin gave a moving speech at the ceremony. Terri expressed the importance of caring for all animals, and not to be selective in our compassion. She added that all living beings deserve empathy and kindness. Unfortunately, as humans, we make excuses and postpone our plans. And when we put things off for long enough "it just becomes an excuse." One of the lessons Steve taught her, was not to put it off. Meg Foster looks completely different today, aged 76

That we are all destined to grow old and grey is an immutable fact of life (for now, at least, who knows what the future holds with regards to technology and science). It doesn’t matter how much money we have, how strictly we control our diet or exercise, how much sleep we get, or what we do for a living… sure, we might age differently, but in the end we’re all headed in the same direction. It’s basic biology, and not something we can do too much about Which is why it’s somewhat amusing that we can still be shocked when we see the hand of Father Time working its magic. Perhaps you haven’t seen someone for years, only to be taken back by how much they’ve aged? Or you spot an old movie star you remember from your childhood, only now their hair is white, their youthful exuberance gone. It’s an interesting thing actually, the way celebrities age. Their appearances change as they get older – just as with any human being – only their path to old age is documented for the whole world to...

She was the one who started to call them the “Trueblue Twins” for their unique...

Meaning behind the ‘WC’ sign outside bathrooms

Have you ever noticed the letters WC posted outside a public bathroom and wondered what it means? If so, you’re not alone as people around the world are trying to unravel the mystery of the WC, a space that identifies a room containing a toilet and a sink. And while we’ll offer you an explanation of the WC, we can’t promise the term will make anymore sense than restroom, bathroom or loo… In 2020, a couple named Shelby and Dylan shared a TikTok video that revealed a major difference in how some Americans and Canadians do their business. “What in the world is a washroom?” asks Dylan as he walks by sign that says “washroom.” “And what are they washing in there? Oh, it’s a restroom. The only thing I wash in there is my hands,” he tells his wife. Off-camera, Shelby can be heard asking: “Do you rest in a restroom?” “That’s a good point. They both don’t make much sense,” Dylan adds. Online users jumped into the comments section, offering their opinions on the term they prefer to use for...

Why bathing too much can harm your skin and health

After a long day, there’s something incredibly soothing about stepping into a warm shower, letting the water wash away your fatigue. But what if your beloved soaks are causing more harm than good? According to growing research and expert opinion, bathing too often could actually “be bad for your health,” messing with your immune system, and even putting stress on your body’s natural ability to regulate temperature. It turns out, that squeaky-clean feeling may come at a cost. Natural oils The human skin isn’t just a passive layer of tissue – it’s your body’s largest organ and one of its smartest. It produces natural oils to keep itself moisturized and forms a barrier of good bacteria to fend off harmful invaders. The result isn’t just dryness – it’s often a cycle of itching, redness, flaking, and irritation. “Normal skin has a protective layer of oil and a balance of...

My Husband Received a Christmas Gift from His First Love – After He Opened It in Front of Us, Our Life Changed Forever

Christmas morning felt ordinary — until my husband opened a gift that sent his past rushing back like a whirlwind. What came next changed the way we celebrated the holidays. My husband, Greg, and I had built the kind of life that didn't need explaining. We had one child. And I believed we had trust between us until that fateful day during the holidays when Greg's ex resurfaced in our lives, changing everything. We had one child. Greg and I had been together for 12 years. In that time, we had grown into a rhythm so familiar it was almost sacred. We had grocery lists stuck to the fridge, half-finished puzzles on the dining table, and inside jokes no one else would understand. Coffee travel mugs balanced between our seats amid school runs, fun birthday celebrations at the same Italian place we'd gone to for a decade, and the occasional spontaneous dinner date when we managed to escape the workweek chaos. The biggest Sunday dilemma was choosing between pancakes and waffles. G...
